Hellenic Championship - DAY 11

The Hellenic Championship concluded round 1 last night with Athina '90 leading the table with 11 wins and no losses. Ilioupoli was no obstacle and surrendered 9-1. The home team has not lost any points in round 1 and seems the favorite for this year's title. Right behind them Doukas has only lost one game and continues to challenge for the home advantage in the play-offs. Doukas got a tough win at home against Gypaetoi in a thrilling match that kept fans in agony to the end. Final score 3-2. Aris Virona beat Olympiada 4-3 in the surprise of the day, while Yperion won the relegation derby against N.Ikonio, in style 9-4. Kosmos stepped up in the table with a crucial win at Iniohos who played without key players, 2-9. Aeas and Minotavros will play on Jan 22nd their postponed game due to the trip of Minotavros to the Czech Republic to compete in the annual Brno Tournament.
