Hellenic Championship - DAY 9

Ilioupoli was the winner of the derby against Gypaetoi 7-5.  The home team is the first to break their unbeaten record after an exciting game.  Sokos led in scoring with 3 goals to give the home team the edge in the second half.  Athina 90 remains the only unbeaten team, capturing another victory against Olympiada A.P. 7-2.   Athina had Begai with 3 and Mourdoukoutas with 2 goals leading the way, in what was supposed to be  a derby yet ended up being an easy task.  Doukas trails at second place with an emphatic win against Iniohos 14-3.  The home team lost Gritzalis to injury yet had the youngster Kondylatos in great form scoring 5 goals.  Minotavros is bouncing back, claiming another victory at N.Ikonio 2-5 and is climbing up the ladder as the first round is approaching the end.  Aris Virona got three valuable points at Aeas Pallinis and is now placed 8th avoiding the relegating positions.  For Aeas this defeat might prove devastating in the run to keep the category.  Finally Yperion and Kosmos V.P. were tied 6-6 in the televised game of the day, after an exciting twist in scoring.  Yperion was ahead in the game 6-2, yet Kosmos came back to get the tie in the 38th minute.
